daisy_smallOne of the greatest resources we can offer you is the opportunity to meet with a Discipleship Coach. These are trained Grace Community members who can sit down and help you discern your “spiritual address” and what you might need next on your journey forward as a follower of Jesus Christ. Meeting with a Discipleship Coach is easy and hospitable.  Meetings are usually 30 minutes long and you can connect in person or on the phone. You can meet just once or for a season as you see fit and as you find it helpful. Your coach may direct you to one or more of the resources on this website. There is no cost to you for the coaching – it is part of what we feel is necessary to empower you to grow as a disciple.

A life of worship certainly includes participation in corporate worship, but it also includes personal worship (e.g. devotional time) and even a lifestyle of worship where every action and circumstance becomes an opportunity to give glory to God.

Now, in a book that can heal our harried lives, Wayne Muller, author of the spiritual classic How, Then, Shall We Live?, shows us how to create a special time of rest, delight, and renewal--a refuge for our souls. We need not even schedule an entire day each week. Sabbath time can be a Sabbath afternoon, a Sabbath hour, a Sabbath walk.

Claiming Your Place at the Fire

More than 10,000 people turn 50 every day in the U.S.; how do they handle this shift? Claiming Your Place at the Fire invites this group of "new elders" to ask four key questions: Who am I? Where do I belong? How do I bring my passions alive? What is my life's purpose? Amazing Grace: A Vocabulary of Faith
Amazing Grace: A Vocabulary of Faith

When poet Kathleen Norris found her way back into church in the early 1980s, she was unsettled by what she calls the vocabulary of the church, that included code words too abstract to reflect meaningfully her own experience. In this "vocabulary of faith," Norris draws upon her considerable poetic skills to refashion the vocabulary of the church into language that is more accessible to the new-comer or the person returning to a life of faith.
